Our kiddo kits are specifically designed for children to learn how to knit. Knitting like mindfulness gives children the opportunity to observe, paying close attention to the stitches and pattern very carefully. In this kit children will learn how to knit a beautiful colourful bunting using Killara Tweed from Donegal Yarns. Each kit contains two skeins of yarn, a set of children’s knitting needles, cotton bag and pattern in a colourful designed box. Each Kiddo kit also includes an added activity for left over yarn.

Yes ! Wool in School have developed a family and friends kit which encourages children to share this knitting activity with a family member, older relative or community member. The Family and friends kit is designed for two people one adult and one child to share the experience of knitting. The older person is encouraged to teach the child how to knit as part of intergenerational connections
This kit aims to strengthen a bond with wool and magic, by knitting a beautiful bunting together representing friendship. Sharing moments and creating memories through the tradition of knitting is also at the heart of this very special activity.

Wool in School has an online shop which offers our knitting kits and school programme. If you wish to buy for a large number of children or class please contact us directly. Or if you have any questions about what we provide please get in touch.
