Frequently Asked Questions

Our kiddo kits are specifically designed for children to learn how to knit. Like mindfulness, knitting allows children to observe, carefully paying close attention to the stitches and patterns. In this kit, children will learn how to knit a beautiful, colourful bunting using Killara Tweed from Donegal Yarns. Each kit contains three 25g balls of yarn, a set of children’s knitting needles, a dinosaur cut out and a pattern in a colourful box.

Yes! Wool in School has developed a family and friends kit that encourages children to share this knitting activity with a family member, older relative, or community member. The Family and Friends kit is designed for two people, one adult and one child, to share the knitting experience. The older person is encouraged to teach the child how to knit as part of intergenerational connections

This kit aims to strengthen a bond between wool and magic by knitting a beautiful bunting that represents friendship. Sharing moments and creating memories through the knitting tradition is also at the heart of this very special activity.

Wool in School has an online shop which offers our knitting kits, Wool2Ewe box  and school membership programme. If you wish to buy for a large number of children or class please contact us directly. If you have any questions about what we provide, please get in touch.
