Wool in School, dedicated to supporting an inclusive environment where children explore wool, heritage, and sustainability.
Discovering the world of wool with children is an enchanting journey into creativity, heritage, and hands-on learning. As they delve into the soft, vibrant fibres, children uncover the fascinating process that transforms raw wool into beautiful, functional textiles and art. They learn about the origins of wool, tracing its journey from the backs of sheep to the yarns in their hands, gaining a deep appreciation for this natural resource.
Teaching children about wool connects them with nature, history, and each other. It’s an immersive, enriching experience that sparks curiosity, nurtures creativity, and lays the foundation for a lifelong appreciation of the arts, heritage, sustainability and the world around them. We also aim to help children find their voice in the battle for climate renewal and climate justice.
